Framed Serenity is a private residence located in Waipu, Taichung, Taiwan, surrounded by open fields and distant mountain views. Conceived as a quiet frame within the landscape, the house transforms surrounding scenery into an integral part of everyday living. Through large openings, corner glazing, reflecting water, and carefully composed sightlines, fields, mountains, light, and reflection become part of the spatial experience. Transparency and visual continuity dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, creating a seamless dialogue between architecture and nature. With a restrained architectural language and a strong connection to its rural setting, the project offers a calm and restorative environment where landscape, light, and everyday life are gently framed together.
